Structural Health Monitoring of the Stonecutters Bridge
FOS&S has been awarded the contract for the Structural Health Monitoring of the Stonecutters Bridge in Hong Kong. The Stonecutters Bridge, when completed, will be one of the longest span cable-stayed bridges in the world.

The first trail installation was completed in May 2007. The installation of the complete project will be in the middle of 2008. FOS&S is going to monitor the temperature and strain inside the stay cables by inserting several fibre optic strain and temperature chains inside the stay cables. The sensors will be installed inside the stay cable during the fabrication process by the stay cable manufacturer.
